Swollen NoseIntroduction -
The nose being a very important organ in the body acts as a smelling organ and passageway for air and a protector of lungs (as it heats, humidifies and filters the inhaled air before it sending it to the lungs). It performs a major role of sensing and smelling and capturing a wide range of sensations essential for proper brain functioning and behavior.
A nose that is crippled or swollen and thereby unable to
function properly can have a significant impact on the daily body and brain functions and behavior, thereby greatly affecting a person's personal and social life.

In case of an injury, the nose may become deformed and crooked and swelling may be seen. It can be treated by consuming enough fluids and water. If the cause is influenza or common cold, it can be treated with medications. It the cause is allergens leading to hay fever and other allergic reactions, it can be treated by the removal of allergens, antihistamines and decongestants.
